A Whimsical Letterpress and Design Studio Based in Winter Park, Florida

Hey folks!  Welcome to our third edition of Coffee Talk!  Today, we'd like to introduce you to Andrew Davis, our 9th Letter Press "Pep Talker", idea man, native of the Pacific Northwest, fill-in-printer, husband to our "Doodler in Chief", and talented jack-of-all-trades.  Andrew is also the brains behind many of our Instagram posts.  You can admit it, you've chuckled a time or two at his witty one-liners.  Andrew has been with 9th Letter Press since January and has quickly become a vital part of our team.

So, let's dive into our cups of joe and meet Andrew.

First off, most importantly, how do you take your coffee?

Strong!  My father in law says the coffee I make gives him palpitations!  I like it French pressed with a generous pour of organic heavy whipping cream.  Some mornings I'll even drop a dollop of grass fed butter in there.

What does a typical day at 9th Letter Press look like for you?

There is literally no such thing!  Since we are growing company, there are new needs and demands every day.  I think an ideal day would include working on business strategy and brainstorming creative avenues for growth, sending out handwritten notes to current and potential accounts, engaging our social media fans and identifying areas where we can be more efficient with our time, resources and processes.

Do you have a favorite 9th Letter Press card, journal, or art print?

Oh my, so many.  I'm a huge fan of the new line that Isabel just finished up (soon to be debuted).  I think anything with Isabel's script is pretty fantastic, and I'm partial to the "A" flat notes of course!

How do you choose the Friday Giveaway winner?  Any tips for being chosen?

I love originality, creativity and anything that makes me laugh is a plus!  I just thoroughly enjoy seeing people engage with us and get as excited as I do about the amazing stuff Isabel comes up with.

If I'm visiting Portland, what's a must see or do?

You must see Multnomah falls and the Willamette Valley, both are just a short drive out of Portland, and have some breathtaking views.  You must eat good food, and drink good coffee and beer.

My favorites are: Le Pigeon, Laurelhurst Meat Market, Andina, Ken's Artisan Pizza and Salt & Straw for dessert.  Barista for coffee, and if you can't find good beer in Portland... you're probably not in Portland!

Can we be looking forward to any paper goods created by Andrew Davis?

Ha!  Created by, definitely not.  Inspired by, quite possibly. ;)

Thanks, Andrew!  Now please excuse me while I book a flight to Portland.
